Cry for Yarn Help

Img_0041Not even a week yet, and I've almost got the back done on this sweater. Another couple of inches is all it needs, then it's on to the cardigan fronts . . .

. . . Not too long after that, though, this is going to come to a screeching halt. Because while by yardage I really should have enough yarn ... I did the math, and everything ... um, there's no way. I'm just about done with my third skein and will be into the fourth before I finish the back. That'll leave me 7 skeins for the entire rest of the sweater--the fronts, the sleeves, the button bands, and the collar.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. I posted an SOS on Ravelry and on Knitter's Review and sent an email to various online shops that sell the yarn, in case anyone has more in the same dyelot. I mean, I at least know that I can get more of the same color, which is definitely something, but I want the dyelot, too, you know?

So, let me ask you, too.

I need Karabella Aurora 8 in color #139, in dyelot #774. Possibly two skeins would be enough, but I'd feel happier with four.

Anyone? Ask your friends, too!

(And, Chappy wants to know, doesn't everyone open their presents that way?)

Unfortunately I have none to offer, I've never even seen the stuff. But I'll ask around for you.

Alas! Didn't this just happen to you on another sweater??

I have none either! My previous dog was good about opening her own xmas presents (typically a can of tennis balls, the only toy she liked). These 2 girls I have now, though, haven't quite got it down. One will chew the toy through the paper, and maybe eat the paper, and the other just wants to play with the wadded up paper that somebody else undoes. The one that most loves the squeaky toys had to come see what that noise was when I watched Chappy's video!

Elvis & Pearl open presents exactly the same way. Chappy, you are perfectly normal. :)

Merry Christmas! I'm catching up a little bit on blogs. I hope you find your needed yarn, I wish your very-well-earned sweater would fit perfectly, I hope Chappy had a good Christmas, and I love the idea of Gloating Day. Maybe someday I'll get to be the Gloater instead of a Gloatee.

Drat - I just looked and I have color #15. I hope you find your color. I HATE it when that happens. I always buy more than recommended but it's never enough. Ugh!

No Karabella in the stash. You might want to give Stitches DC a call. Their store was filthy with Karabell. Good luck.

Alas I have none in my stash but good luck! That is so adorable of Chappy. Doesn't everyone open their presents like that?
