The other morning, I glanced into the guest room and saw this one violet just REACHING for the sun, inches above the rest of the plant, and just basking ... it looked so pretty, I couldn't help but grab the camera and then take lots and lots of pictures.... (grin)

It's so lovely. I do really like violets but they don't like me since I'm inconsistent with my watering. I've got one poor struggling fellow who's hanging on for dear life.

I had a big collection of AV years ago. They are so beautiful and often hardy. Thanks for the memory.

Purdy! AVs love my office, especially since I got them AV pots with water reservoirs and don't have to worry about watering.

De-lurking in honor of de-lurking week. The violet is lovely and so grateful not to be living at my house! I'm watching your progress on Celtic Icon with considerable interest since that may be up next on project list.

Oh pretty, I'll do the same thing when ours finally opens. It has had no blooms for something like two years, and just about 3 weeks ago, we noticed one. It has taken forever to try to open. Maybe over the weekend. Hope your weekend goes well.
