Nope, not the fiber-y kind. The food kind. As in, Stash Tea.
I placed this order a few days ago, and look! First, two cute and beautiful cups, because I couldn't resist. Even though we really don't have room in the cabinets for ANY more tea or coffee beverage receptacles. But that didn't matter. They were sunny and cheery and oh so sweet--I bought them anyway. I'm really, really tempted to buy the matching teapot, too, but keep reminding myself that that would be SILLY. Especially when this is the one I really want. But that's another story.
I also got a couple of tea samples, and some decaf-green tea for my sister. Who had perfect timing today, because she was down visiting and made a cup from the last tea bag we had of her preferred kind of tea. Thereby freeing up the space in the cabinet for this new box. Perfect, huh? I love that the box is self-dispensing, too.
Anyway, this was a nice thing to come home to on a cooooold day. It was something like 18 degrees when I came downstairs this morning at about ten to seven. By far the coldest morning we've had all season. I even wore my Celtic Dreams sweater today, and my handspun-handknit socks. This is the first chance I've had to wear those socks, and yes, they kept my feet toasty. And the sweater? The first time I've worn it since Rhinebeck (which was the first time I wore it at ALL). It was perfect this morning--my office is right near our main entrance, and so gets chilly in the morning. This afternoon, though, with the sun streaming in the window and the outside temperatures approaching 30, I was actually pretty warm. I didn't even bother to button my coat when I left for the day. (I mean, I WAS just getting into the car, so it's not like I was out in the cold for long, and I WAS wearing a thick, wool-knit sweater, so it's not like I was going to freeze. So no yelling at me for being irresponsible about my health, okay?)
I had another nice surprise--Liz gave me a call tonight. It's so funny, but I almost never pick up the phone to call my blogging-friends. Or my "real-life" friends, for that matter. I've just gotten completely out of the habit of chatting on the phone, since it's such a seldom thing. These days, if my friends don't answer emails, I basically have no communication with them at all. (I don't even want to think about how sad that is.) Still, it was great talking to her. And tomorrow is my best friend's birthday, so I plan on calling her out in California tomorrow night. In other words, it's a big "phone" week for me. (grin)
The Endless Hood Extension on the back of my Celtic Icon sweater is now 13 inches. I need 18. Five more to go?? I can't believe how slow this is moving. I can't believe how slowly ALL of my knitting projects are going! I feel like I've been working on all of them for weeks and weeks and not one of the three is remotely near completion. The closest is the socks, which at least have turned heels, but since they haven't been out of my purse since around Christmas, they're not exactly zipping along, either. Although, I'd like to get them out this weekend for some KIP pictures. There's a contest and everything! (They're even in Socks That Rock yarn, too.)

That is a very cheerful set of teacups! I don't like talking on the phone, either. I'm much better at email.

Ooo, I love those tea cups! That Jasmine teapot is gorgeous too!
I'm the same re: communication except that I tend to avoid e-mail response too. I think it was due to the high volumes of e-mail I had to deal with for work. But I'm terrible about the phone, though I shouldn't be. I enjoy it, just never thing to ring anyone.

I bought a packet of Stash English Breakfast teabags this weekend at my local tea shop and I couldn't discern any notable difference between Stash and Twinings, except Stash is about four times the price.

toooooo funny. i love the tea cups and the pots were cute too. i'm sitting here on my SECOND cup of tea (i usually only drink one) but i was outside for 3 bloody hours this evening trying to change my daughter's battery. and it wasn't the battery, sigh. but i'm finally warming up.
can't wait to see progress pics.

As much as I love the Jasmine teapot, and I do, how can you not love a handle like that and the smooth lines and all, I have to say my preference is with the itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny, yellow, polka-dot... um, teapot. LOL Well, it is. I love it!
A photo of me knitting socks in public could be difficult, as I rarely even leave the house. LOL No, really. I work at home. Make twice-weekly pilgrimages to a post office a mile away that rarely even has a line. Where am I supposed to be seen knitting? Egads! LOL

The market where I shop for produce has a very nice selection of Stash tea so I pick that up quite often. It's my favorite everyday sort of tea. The teacups are adorable.

Having lots of cups and mugs is a good thing. Wha does have room for all the stuff anyway? I'm the same with the phone thing. Always gets me in trouble with the family. Get youself a headset for the phone! A good knitter's gadget! I'll be posting about mine soon.

I got 240 Stash Irish Breakfast teabags for Christmas. I can tell a difference--nobody else's Irish Breakfast is strong enough for me. One cup is usually all I have. I love teacups and teapots, but rarely use them. (Or loose tea) :)

We have the same yellow polka dot teacups and teapot. I LOVE them. They hold alot of tea and keep it warm. My basic requirements. I'm sorry you're feeling so slow in the knitting department, but I am always slow in the knitting department:) Besides, that sweater is stunning and worth the effort.

I'd like to try Stash at some point...it looks yummy and I love those cups! (I am at present not 'allowed' to buy cups *rolls eyes* some men have no appreciation for a collection)

I was just flipping through the Stash Tea Catalog yesterday! I loved all their teacups / pots sets! Their tea is really good! Enjoy!

Oh tea, yum, I love a good cup of tea. What cute teacups. And I love your teapot you want, very nice.

Your Celtic Dreams sweater is so pretty! And nice to finally have a chance to wear it. The Endless Hood Extension will end. Only five more inches! You've only got a quarter of the length to go.

I do love a good cup of tea. Adagio is my preferred supplier, but I got some Scottish Breakfast as a gift and I need to see where I can get it (I've never even looked for it online). Yay for handknits on cold days.

Y'know, it reassures me to hear that other people are the same way I am about phones, friends, and email. :)

I love so many teas, my tea stash is as hefty as my yarn and fiber stash. Everytime we open the cabinet some tea or other is throwing itself at me. I love some Stash teas, but my current favorite tea company is Harney and Sons. Their Souchong teas are great, the Organic Green is my favorite green tea, and I know you don't like flavors, but their Hot Cinnamon Spice is a lovely sweetish tea, and cinnamon is so good for the heart. They have a black decaf that is the best that I have ever had. The Decaf Ceylon. Yummy. Then there is my teapot collection.......

Those are sweet -- and I vote for getting the teapot, too. And then you could knit a tea cozy. I think you wanna!

I love Stash tea too! There are benefits to all this cold weather, we get to wear our handmade knits, and enjoy a hot cup of tea! I love the tea pot, I don't see why you shouldn't get it! :)

It's really hard for me to not buy every teapot on their site.
