Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day!

(PS - I've always been really fascinated by identical twin loss - my grandmother lost her identical twin when they were eleven. Happy Birthday to Susan too!)

many birthday wishes to you! i hope you have an absolutely wonderful day...even though the day is both happy and sad for you.

i hope chappy gives you lots of cuddles!

Happy Birthday! 39 is a good age, just don't stay there.

I enjoyed this trip down your memory lane. It really is cool to wonder about Susan and what she's up to and how that has influenced your life. I turned 40 in September and your pictures look like my childhood pictures! Same colors and fashion statements!!
Happy Birthday!

Hey, I remember Jack Benny!
Happy birthday, Deb!

Happy Birthday Deb!! What a touching story of your family trials and joys. Thank goodness your mom and dad have you. Keep fightin', keep smilin' and keep knittin'!

happy birthday, deb! thanks for sharing all those cutie pictures and the great story too.

i love that your said your twin susan is always on your right.. shoot, i believe anything about twins; my little sisters, who are twins, have a ton of really weird-coincedence-type of stories and so ever since i was little, twins are totally magical mysterious folk. yay!

hope your weekend was excellent ;)

Happy birthday!
I think it's cool that your twin is still with you, in so many ways, and that you keep her spirit alive by sharing the story.

I'm sorry I'm late, happy birthday! What a great tribute to Susan. Fabulous pictures. I dig the old high chair. My parents had a similar one. I can only imagine the mess my pair would have made on such a huge tabletop to work with.

happy belated birthday! strangely enough I have an almost identical story - though my parents found out a few weeks before we were born that they were expecting twins. (it's a long, strange story with many eerie similarities to what you've shared - Christmas Eve in 1979 was an odd night and I was a fighting 4lbs 2oz at 6 weeks early.) Now that I'm in medicine, and on my obstetrics rotation I know that this sort of thing wouldn't happen today - we know how to "see" things and "fix" things. I love being around when a baby comes into the world, and hope that I'm available if/when a set of twins are born. I think it'd help me to see what is possible.

Happy Birthday!! (sorry I'm late - but that appears to be my pattern for this year) I hope you had a great one :o)
